Steve Fitch's champion sprinter Cumbria Jack may have retired to stud after earning nearly $804,000 through winning 27 of 39 races, but the Nowra trainer was still able to return to Wentworth Park with a bang on Saturday night. Cumbria Jack's litter sister Cumbria Chrissy overcame a slow start to notch her 13th win from 37 starts in 29.90 before Eriza Sparkles, Fitch's group one Dapto Megastar winner, also missed the kick before winning in 29.59.

Participants to Benefit from City Schedule Changes
Participants across the State will be beneficiaries of a newly constructed calendar catering for the racing transition period following the closure of the Wentworth Park racetrack in October. Greyhound Racing NSW (GRNSW) are announcing that from October 17 following the final race meeting at Wentworth Park the night before, participants will reap an extra $45,000 a week in prizemoney spread across all tracks.
Final Farewell to Wentworth Park
A full house is guaranteed at the iconic Wentworth Park racetrack after it was announced today the Sydney racetrack will bid farewell to greyhound racing with a spectacular evening on October 16.
Colaiacovo's Big Call
Maximum Damage's trainer Clint Colaiacovo believes that greyhound has the potential to become his highest prizemoney earner following the dog's runaway win in Thursday night's Wagga to Wentworth Park Final. Wagga-based Colaiacovo and his partner Jess Fothergill's best performers have been Run Fast Maximus, who won 47 races and $96,540 along with Agent Chevrolet, who won 10 races in succession in 2023 and '24 on the way to earning $46,000 through winning 21 of 47 starts.

Eriza Sparkles, who became the fastest female greyhound to race at Wentworth Park when she clocked 29.17 in a Million Dollar Chase semi-final on Ocotber 10, returns to headquarters in Saturday night's Get Trackside fourth and fifth grade 520m. The group one Dapto Megastar winner has been campaigning in Queensland where she finished fourth in a Brisbane Cup heat and a luckless seventh in the Cup Consolation final on July 11.
