Patsy Linginfelter Barker Patsy Linginfelter Barker, 86, of Dunlap, Tennessee passed away September 14, 2026 peacefully at her home surrounded by family. She was born on November 6, 1939 in Concord, Tennessee. She was a 1957 graduate of Farragut High School, attended Bethel College in McKenzie and the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. She taught at Sequatchie County High School. Patsy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

James David Boynton, 63, of Dunlap, passed away Wednesday, September 9, 2026. David was a Veteran of the US Navy and a graduate of Hixson High School. David was a fun-loving guy who enjoyed life, family, friends, video games, remote control cars, helicopters and airplanes. He was an avid Falcons football fan. He loved to pass his knowledge on to others and had a passion for always searching for answers to everything he didn’t know. He was always very intentional with all his thoughts and words.

Anthony Rumbel, 21, is in custody in Cobb County, Georgia, following a reported shooting in Sequatchie County on September 9. Sheriff Bill Phillips said Rumbel is the suspect in the shooting death of his father, Michael Rumbel, who was found deceased with multiple gunshot wounds at a Green Forest Road residence. Rumbel left the home prior to law enforcement arrival, Sheriff Phillips said, and was later taken into custody in the Marietta, Georgia area, near Atlanta.

Two people are dead after what is suspected to be a murder-suicide, Sequatchie County Sheriff Bill Phillips reported. Law enforcement responded to a Stone Creek Trail residence on Fredonia Mountain at approximately 7:00 p.m. on September 8, after friends of a married couple found them deceased from apparent gunshot wounds. Dan Ray Harvey, 65, of Lewis Chapel, Tennessee, gained his heavenly home on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Dan was born in Jacksonville, North Carolina on January 24, 1961 to J.B. Doil and Jacqueline Harvey. As a military child, Dan and his family moved often, as his father was stationed at different locations. Eventually, the family returned to Dunlap, where Dan met and married the love of his life, Linda. They shared 43 wonderful years of marriage.

Anne Wolf, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and dedicated member of her community, passed away on August 10, 2026, in Dunlap, Tennessee, at the age of 88. Anne was born on July 2, 1938, in the District of Columbia, to Douglas Wolf and Hattie May Dunlap Wolf. She later made her home in Dunlap, Tennessee, where she lived and became a cherished member of the community. Throughout her life, Anne had a generous spirit and a deep commitment to serving others.
