The Women's FA Cup second round qualifying draw has been made
The Women's FA Cup second round qualifying draw has been made, with 95 ties to be played on Sunday 20 September 2026. Winning clubs at this stage are set to collect £3,500 from the competition prize fund, and teams who exit in this round will receive £1,000. Wigan Athletic keep cool in Women's FA Cup first round qualifying shootout
Wigan Athletic kept their cool during a close penalty shootout against Chester to ensure their Women’s FA Cup journey continued in the first qualifying round. The Latics drew 2-2 at the final whistle, Ciara Lee opened Chester’s account after three minutes before Kira Saycell and Avilla Bergin scored in the second half to see Wigan take the lead. Katie Kelso levelled the tie for Chester with 12 minutes remaining to ensure it went to penalties.

Debutants AFC Greenwich Borough secured a thrilling comeback win to advance to the Emirates FA Cup second round qualifying, with a 4-3 triumph over Sittingbourne. Stefan Payne had opened the scoring away to the Brickies only for the hosts to take a 2-1 advantage into the break. Harry Revill rescued Greenwich, with two goals in the space of 10 minutes before Stefan Payne scored the winner in the 91st minute.
