Hundreds Gather to Help One Family Move Forward đ¤
Hundreds of people gathered Sunday to support the family of Prestin and Zaiden Strassenburg, two young brothers who died following a July crash. The September 13 benefit was originally planned for the Millard American Legion. Organizers moved it to the Embassy Suites in La Vista to accommodate the expected turnout. Guests could purchase $10 meals, raffle tickets and items through a silent auction. Donated items included handmade quilts, fishing trips and other services and experiences.

In a unanimous 6-0 vote on Friday (September 11), the Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority opted to move forward with the process to rename the airport in honor of late country legend Dolly Parton. Parton, who was born in East Tennessee, died on August 25 “after bravely facing a brief battle with cancer,” her representatives confirmed. She was 80.
