Designer Q&A: Q) What was your brief from the client?

The Et Lorem bespoke kitchen team were asked to create a dramatic in-frame kitchen for a new-build home in Buckinghamshire. Designer Jade Jones from Et Lorem’s Beaconsfield Design Studio brought her expertise to this particular project. Q: What were the design priorities for this project? From the beginning, the scope of the project was to balance aesthetics with practical design features, creating a high-functioning kitchen space to be used by everyone in the home.

Their ethos is simple – to treat every customer the same way they would want to be treated if investing in their own kitchen or interior solutions project. The Wood & Wire team of designers and cabinet makers are based in Yorkshire, and created this calm kitchen project, in partnership with architects Gargarin Studio. Designer and Director Jim Leech sums up this gorgeous kitchen for us… Q: What was the main priority and direction for this kitchen project? One of the main priorities was that the kitchen featured lots of practical storage, so the space could maintain an uncluttered aesthetic.

The designer: Lizzie Spinks, Makers Photos Mary Wadsworth The story: After living in their home for over 20 years with grown-up children who have flown the nest, the owners of a London Victorian house realised it was time to renovate their small, tired kitchen, rejuvenating a beloved space that holds many precious memories.

esigner Fiona Ginnett of HOLTE STUDIO explains some of the ideas and concepts behind this calm and peaceful kitchen in North London. Her clients had a clear vision of what they wanted, inspired by one of Holte’s previous projects, namely their South London Woodsyre kitchen. Q: What were the main priorities in the briefing from your clients? They were intrigued by the calm and structured aesthetic we used in our Woodsyre project, particularly the dividing panels between each cabinet front.
