This past Saturday, the Geneseo Knights faced the Brockport Golden Eagles in a scrimmage at the Geneseo courts. It was a beautiful day for tennis, as it was sunny with little to no wind. Instead of the usual match setup, doubles and singles teams rotated for over two hours, facing new opponents each time. Not only was the scrimmage a great way to play extra tennis, but it also allowed for different levels of tennis to face one another.
Things that upset me
It’s time for a moment of transparency: I am running out of ideas here. Due to that unfortunate truth, you will not be receiving a highly political article from me this week; instead, I thought it might be time to inform everyone of all the things they’re doing that annoy me. I think this will be beneficial because, after reading this, everyone can immediately get to work in altering their behavior to make me happy.

Fuel your brains: stop using AI
You are probably constantly seeing the phrase “fuel your bodies” everywhere. Often, it refers to the way that we fuel our bodies, whether that be from the foods we eat or the exercise we partake in. But what about the way we fuel our minds? In today’s world, we live in a society that runs on instant gratification, which has led to a rise in popularity of Artificial Intelligence (AI) platforms such as ChatGPT.
Start watching Smosh (2005- ) on YouTube
I find it quite difficult to watch TV shows while at college. With an overbearing courseload, work schedule, and extracurricular activities, I cannot afford to sit and start a TV show. That would require commitment and free time, of which I do not have the luxury. However, I still need a little something to watch when I am getting ready for the day, eating dinner, or winding down for bed. Right now, the thing I have been watching is Smosh (2005-).
Hadestown is going from stage to screen!
Greek mythology has clearly served as the inspiration for many incredible stories throughout the years. Be it a demigod in summer camp or a series of soundtracks telling the story of the Orpheus, it has served as the springboard for stories that have become instant classics in the minds of many people. One of the greatest examples of this is the hit musical, Hadestown. For anyone unaware, Hadestown is a musical adaptation of the tragic tale of Orpheus and Eurydice.
