Amidst all the talk of the need for regulating artificial intelligence (AI), there has been too little discussion about the simplest way to do it: criminal liability. After all, AI companies are failing to control a product they know to be dangerous. The companies and the people who manage them need to understand that they face serious risk from letting their models run wild, including the possibility of massive fines, criminal prosecution and jail time.

Let’s get this straight. Communism is bad. And Democrats are Communists, so they are bad. Which means they HATE America. Okay, now that we’re clear on that, on Wednesday night Donald Trump literally rolled out a 100-foot-long red carpet to welcome Chinese President Xi Jinping, leader of the most powerful Communist country in the world.

Screw those men who do horrific things and then whine about how bad they feel. They’re not heroes. That’s my reaction to director Christopher Nolan’s opus, “The Odyssey.” But let me back up a bit. Nolan likes to ponder big questions. In “Memento,” he asked: What is memory? In “Interstellar”: What is time? In “The Prestige” and “Inception”: What is reality? And in “Oppenheimer” and now “The Odyssey”: Is intelligence a tragic flaw?
