Wrestling has tons of moments for us to look back on. Some were great, others not so much. Many are recorded, most weren’t. This Day in Wrestling History looks back at the debut of Monday Night Raw. On January 11, 1993, the then WWF held their first ever Monday Night Raw at the Manhattan Center in New York city. It took over the time slot on the USA cable network from Prime Time Wrestling and was the first truly live weekly wrestling show.
WWE Raw Results: Seth Rollins vs. Bron Breakker Set For Backlash
WWE didn’t just set up a Backlash match on RAW. It drew a line in the sand — and then let Seth Rollins and Bron Breakker step over it at the same time. What started as a standard challenge spiraled into something far more layered, far more intentional, and far more revealing about where both men sit in WWE’s real hierarchy. “You’re Not Ready” — Classic Seth… Until It Wasn’t Seth Rollins kicked things off the way only Seth can: calm, composed, surgical. Bron Breakker? Not ready. Simple. Familiar.
Bully Ray Slams WWE For Coldly Cutting Bo Dallas: “He Is the Link To Bray Wyatt”
WWE didn’t just trim the fat on April 24. They performed a total lobotomy on one of the most emotionally charged storylines in modern history. In a single, ruthless sweep, 25 names were wiped from the payroll. But while the “budget cuts” excuse is a tired song we’ve all heard before, the inclusion of the entire Wyatt Sicks faction—Uncle Howdy, Erick Rowan, Joe Gacy, Dexter Lumis, and Nikki Cross—has sent shockwaves through the industry. This wasn’t just a roster shuffle.

Will AJ Styles Go To AEW?
With AJ Styles’ awesome career seemingly coming to a close at the Royal Rumble, there are plenty of questions and speculation running wild. If there’s one thing most can agree on is the WWE is horrible at building a storyline to send off their greats. While John Cena losing to Gunther was the best decision, the road to it was lacking in various areas. We all knew it was Cena’s last stop, but he wasn’t built up to go out in a blaze of glory.
The Overtimer NFL: Bill Belichick Hall of Fame Snub Destroys League Credibility
The Overtimer NFL here and the Bill Belichick Hall of Fame snub is a snub for the ages. Bill is a slam dunk first time Hall of Famer. At least, that’s what most people thought. The Hall of Fame voters snubbed him and brought out the outrage from fans and some former players like Lawrence Taylor. More than that, it underscored what many fans suspected about the NFL for awhile. In short, the league lacks credibility.
The Overtimer Breaking News: Hulk Hogan’s Estate Sued for $10 MILLION Over ‘Real American’ Beer
In an age where everyone builds their brand with deodorants, perfume, food, and beer, it’s not surprising Hulk Hogan got into the mix. He always had a good head for business and saw the bigger picture, so it made sense he’s follow Stone Cold Steve Austin into having his own beer. Unfortunately, Hogan passed away in 2025 after his ‘Real American’ beer was launched in 2024. And now, his estate is facing a $10 million lawsuit over and alleged breach of contract and stealing the idea.

As we head toward Super Bowl LX on February 8, 2026, we look back at where it all began. In many ways, it doesn’t feel that long ago as season blend together and many memories feel like yesterday. Today, the Super Bowl is the top ratings grabber on television. It’s the moment companies bank their future on multi-million dollar commercial spots.
The Overtimer NFL: Will John Harbaugh Return The New York Giants to Respectability?
The Overtimer NFL can remember when the New York Giants were a respectable team. They won two Super Bowls in five years for the second time. But their last win was in 2011. Since then, the team has been hampered by poor front office choices, bad drafting, questionable coaching, and bad play. As usual, the responsibility sits at the top of the organization. As a lifelong Giants fan, we hoped John Mara learned from the bad decision his father, Wellington, made initially.

There are reports that AEW and Tony Kahn have been in negotiations with him and have offered him a hefty sum to resign. It looks like they didn’t reach a deal and Hobbs is now a free agent. The safe bet seems to be that he’ll go to the WWE. This doesn’t mean he’s done with AEW, but maybe he’s going to attempt to create a bidding war.
