FAIRFIELD TWP. - One of New Jersey's most influential private wrestling coaches is under criminal investigation for alleged sexual misconduct against female athletes training at his Fairfield gym, according to authorities. A spokesperson for the Essex County Prosecutors Office confirmed that the agency is investigating Dave Cordoba, 44 of Pine Brook, a renowned coach and former wrestling champion who operates a training gym on Route 46 in Fairfield.

FAIRFIELD TWP. - A Garfield woman was arrested after she was found with Xanax, LSD and heroin paraphernalia during a vehicle stop on Friday, Aug. 14, according to Fairfield Police. On that date at about 2 a.m., Officer Ryan Cleary was patrolling Route 46. He allegedly observed a black SUV traveling at eastward at a high rate of speed.
