A brief statement issued today, September 15th, has revealed that Abbath have scrapped all of their 2026 touring plans. That announcement arrives in the wake of a troubled live performance that took place on August 14th at the ‘SaariHelvetti Festival‘ at Viikinsaari in Tampere, Finland.

The ongoing flurry of collaborations from midwestern metalcore band We Came As Romans picked up back up today, September 15th. The Ohio natives are now newly streaming their revised take on “b2tm“, which finds them paired with British metalcore outfit Bury Tomorrow. Recent weeks have seen We Came As Romans steadily rolling out a stream of collaborations from their upcoming new offering, “ALL IS BEAUTIFUL… BECAUSE WE’RE DOOMED: CIRCULARITY“.

A series of sideshows for this year’s ‘Good Things Festival‘ have newly been announced. Various performers booked for that touring Australian festival will be branching off for headlining sets around the festival’s main run of dates. Here’s what’s been booked.

Electronic post-hardcore duo House Of Protection have announced their first Australian headlining shows for later this year. The group, whose members include Aric Improta (Night Verses) and Stephen Harrison (ex-Fever 333/The Chariot), will be playing a pair of shows directly following their run on this December’s ‘Good Things Festival‘.

Influential guitar hero Zakk Wylde has cashed in, with MNRK Music Group having acquired the complete recorded catalog of his southern metal outfit Black Label Society. That deal covers the group’s 11 studio albums, as well as their various live releases, EPs, Wylde‘s solo recordings, and more. MNRK intend to focus on reissues and continuing to maintain the digital availability of the catalog.

Initial lineup announcements have been made for the 2027 editions of the annual ‘Rock am Ring‘ and ‘Rock im Park‘ festivals. Fans attending can expect to see sets from alternative metal trailblazers Faith No More, pop-punk legends Blink-182, modern alternative metal stars Bring Me The Horizon & Falling In Reverse, melodic hardcore champs Turnstile, among numerous others. Next year’s ‘Rock am Ring‘ will be held June 04th-06th in Nürburgring, Germany and thus far shapes up as follows.

Tragically, cancer has claimed the life of another member of Swedish crust/death metal outfit Disfear. This morning, September 15th, the band announced the passing of their drummer Marcus Andersson, following a 4-year battle against brain cancer, glioblastoma. The group offered: “With profound sadness and grief, we are sharing the news of the untimely passing of our longtime friend and drummer, Marcus Andersson.

A second clip of multi-platinum alternative rockers Foo Fighters‘ in-studio performance for ‘Vevo Extended Play‘ has made its way out. This latest video in that series finds the band performing their “Your Favorite Toy” track “Of All People” in their homebase/studio owned by their frontman Dave Grohl. The Foo Fighters are the first guest to partake in that series, which aims to capture live performances from artists in settings that hold significant meaning to them.

Danish death metallers BAEST‘s “In Loathe And Love” music video has just gone up. That song appears on the band’s latest studio album, last summer’s “Colossal“. This new visual offering goes on to chronicle the band’s time on the road, with more memories soon to be added via a new round of touring scheduled for the fall.

Los Angeles hardcore vets Terror have dropped a music video for their song “Erase You From My World“. That track is taken from the group’s latest album “Still Suffer“, which met a release this past April. Luis Hernandez directed the visuals for this latest clip, with a press release stating of it: ‘Directed by Luis Hernandez, the video perfectly captures the explosive energy of the album’s opening track.
