OXFORD, Miss. – Ole Miss is on the heels of its 41-38 victory over No. 24 Louisville in the Music City Kickoff. The Rebels battled offensive and defensive woes but still walked away with the win. One player in particular who had a great night was defensive end Kam Franklin. Franklin tallied four total tackles, two of which were for loss, and a big-time sack that came early in the fourth quarter. After having time to watch the game tape, Franklin discussed his performance earlier this week.

OXFORD, Miss. — Tight end Caleb Odom took the podium to speak to the press on Tuesday following the Rebels’ last-second 41-38 victory over No. 24 Louisville on Sunday. Odom was the team’s second-leading receiver with 66 yards and one touchdown, behind wide receiver Deuce Alexander’s monstrous performance in which he recorded 159 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

As the No. 9 Rebels turn their attention to Saturday’s home opener against Charlotte, Golding’s message is centered on consistency.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The first half of the Rebels’ 2026 season opener was a head-scratcher on the offensive side of the ball, especially for star QB Trinidad Chambliss. The former Ferris State Bulldog entered the 2026 season with the highest expectations of perhaps any quarterback in the country but produced a modest 106 yards of total offense and committed two turnovers in the first 30 minutes of the Music City opener.

What began as a dispute over whether two former NFL players could return to college football has escalated into something almost unimaginable for the Southeastern Conference: LSU’s place in the league is now formally on the table.

One used his speed to turn two Trinidad Chambliss passes into 62-yard touchdowns. The other calmly walked onto the field with three seconds remaining and ended the night with his right foot.

Kewan Lacy was out with an injury. The Rebels had dealt with injuries along the offensive line. Louisville had just erased a 14-point fourth-quarter deficit, tying the game at 38 with 1:28 remaining. Chambliss walked back onto the field needing to get Ole Miss into scoring position.
