HONG KONG (AP) — A Hong Kong court on Thursday convicted the publisher of The Wall Street Journal of deterring its reporter from taking up a trade union role, in a case that raised concerns about press freedom in the city. The court acquitted Dow Jones Publishing Co. (Asia) Inc. of the charge of dismissal over the union role.

NEW YORK (AP) — Karen Matthews was getting her 3-year-old daughter ready for preschool in her Manhattan apartment on Sept. 11, 2001, when she heard a loud boom, unlike anything she’d ever heard before. HARTSVILLE — The town council approved the engineering agreement for the sanitary sewer rehabilitation project Tuesday. Members also discussed concerns that the town’s sewer hookup and connection fee ordinance is out of date.

BANGKOK (AP) — Asian shares skidded Thursday following a retreat on Wall Street as the price of crude oil again traded above $100 a barrel. U.S. futures were modestly higher. The price of Brent crude jumped 3.4% on Wednesday, surging above $100 a barrel for the first time since July. It fell back slightly early Thursday to about $101 a barrel.

Members of the Greensburg Police Department, Decatur County Sheriff’s Department and the Decatur County Prosecutor’s Office previously took part in a training aimed at targeting different types of human trafficking. Following the training, an operation was conducted in Greensburg.
