This Tues, 2/28/2023 at 7pm EST, Whistleblowers of America is hosting a roundtable on Whistleblowing in Healthcare. And I'm pleased to be one of the three healthcare whistleblowers who'll briefly share their experience, offer some survival strategy tips, and hear from participants about their experiences.

Welcome to The Rhythm Strip, the Center for Physician Rights (CPR) newsletter about CPR’s activities as we pursue physician rights advocacy. This is the new site for our newsletter which we hope will serve as the most efficient way for our tribe to stay abreast of our activities and significant happenings that may have an impact – whether positive or otherwise – on physician rights.

Dear CPR Fans: You’re liable to need CPR following this: (yes, double entendre intended.) The remarkable NC Medical Board that failed to oversee the due process-bereft NCPHP, its exclusively contracted and salary-dependent fitness-for-duty operation, and was called out for it in 2014 by the NC Auditor, was itself just subject to a Performance Audit by the same state auditor, Beth Wood. You know how NCMB handled it? They refused to cooperate. State auditor. State agency (purportedly).

We’re hosting CPR’s 2022 General Update meeting Tues. evening, 12/13/2022, 5pm PST; 8pm EST. It runs for an hour, after which, we’ll continue on for an optional 30 minutes interactive discussion about key hopes and concerns about physicians’ rights and CPR’s efforts. Attendance is free but all participants must register. We’ll review CPR’s mission, vision, and objectives and update you on our progress. Additionally, we’ll share some new initiatives, and the big picture for our plans for 2023.
