The Riff Report
Blog
Oi oi, rockers! You’ve just stumbled into The Riff Report Blog, the noisiest pub on the internet where the music never stops, the opinions are loud, and the only dress code is “band tee and attitude.”
This isn’t your nan’s music magazine (unless your nan once crowd-surfed at Monsters of Rock – in which case, absolute respect).
This is The Riff Report:
A place for rock and metal fans, festival fiends, and anyone who’s ever screamed the lyrics back at the stage like their life depended on it. We’re part music journalist, part backstage groupie, part cider-soaked chaos gremlin – and 100% powered by riffs, sarcasm, and possibly a Greggs sausage roll.
Whether we’re camping in a swamp at Download, reviewing Steelhouse with a hangover, or digging through the ashes of defunct UK festivals, we do it loud, we do it honest, and we do it with a cheeky grin.
We’re proudly based in Wales – the land of dragons, daffodils, and dirty guitar solos – and we sprinkle a little bit of Cymraeg flair into everything we do.
So don’t be surprised if you see a few “What’s occurring?” or “I was tamping!” in our posts. That’s just us being proper Welsh legends Source

🎸🚜 Queen Legend Brian May Offers to Help Jeremy Clarkson Following Diddly Squat Farm Crisis
Brian May has spent decades producing enormous guitar solos, filling stadiums and helping Queen become one of the biggest bands ever to walk the planet. Jeremy Clarkson, meanwhile, has spent recent years arguing with tractors, battling the British weather and discovering that running a farm is considerably more difficult than shouting “POWER!” while driving a supercar. Now those two wonderfully different worlds have collided.
📸🤘 DJI Osmo Pocket 4P Review: The Tiny Camera That Could Change Festival Filming Forever
If you’ve ever stood halfway back at a festival trying to film your favourite band, you’ll know the struggle. The singer looks about the size of a Tic Tac. The guitarist disappears behind a sea of raised phones. Someone wearing a Viking helmet suddenly appears directly in front of you. And despite spending hundreds on your smartphone, your video somehow ends up looking like it was filmed through a wet pint glass. Thankfully, DJI thinks it has the answer.

🎸 The 11 Best ’80s Prog Metal Albums, Ranked 🤘🔥
The 1980s were a golden era for heavy music. Thrash was exploding, traditional metal was evolving, and somewhere in the middle a new breed of musicians decided that riffs alone weren’t enough. They wanted odd time signatures, concept albums, virtuoso musicianship and songs that felt more like journeys than three-minute singles. Progressive metal was born. Without these pioneering albums there would be no Dream Theater, Haken, Opeth, Symphony X, Between the Buried and Me or Devin Townsend.
