An Island animal charity is asking the public for help after reaching its full capacity. The ManxSPCA says its cattery and kennels are both currently full. It says many are pets adopted from adverts on social media, and says it has processes to make sure animals and families are perfect matches. The Foxdale-based organisation is urging people to adopt responsibly - adding it has plenty of fur babies looking for homes!

Oliver Lockwood, who's standing in Onchan, published a statement on Facebook earlier today. He says he'd used personal data of a constituent from the electoral register to contact them with a view to forming a personal relationship. And he says the Island's data protection laws show "regulatory overreach", adding he doesn't feel their intent is to prevent people forming such relationships.

The Eastern Neighbourhood Policing Team issued the warning on Facebook earlier, saying they'd had reports from Crossroads shops. Officers say items left outside opening hours can become dangerous and could constitute a criminal offence.
