Man dies following house fire in Romford The fire broke out in Belgrave Avenue during the early hours of this morning (credit: Google Maps) The London Fire Brigade were called to an end-of-terraced property in Belgrave Avenue at around 4.40am this morning (Wednesday, 30 April). One man was rescued from the first floor via an internal staircase by firefighters wearing breathing apparatus. He was sadly pronounced dead at the scene by the Helicopter Emergency Medical Service.

Man arrested after double stabbing in Romford A man has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm Police were called to Coltsfoot Path at around 12.50pm on Monday, 21 April to reports of a man with stab wounds. The 20-year-old man was taken to hospital with what are not believed to be either life-threatening or life-changing injuries. Shortly afterwards officers were alerted by the LAS to a second victim nearby in Lavender Close. A 19-year-old man was also taken to hospital.
