Samuel Dobson, A Bitcoin Core Developer, Has Decided It’s Time To Step Aside
On Thursday night, developer Samuel Dobson revealed that he is stepping down as a Bitcoin Core maintainer after three years because he “can no longer dedicate the time required, as I approach the end of my Ph.D.” as made known in a series of tweets. Dobson had direct access to the cryptocurrency’s source on GitHub as a Bitcoin Core wallet developer, with powers to approve updates and make enhancements to the Bitcoin program. He was also in charge of guaranteeing the protocol’s security.

According To The Pew Research Center, At Least 16% Of Americans Possess Cryptocurrency
According to a Pew Research Center poll issued on Thursday, around 16% of Americans had invested, traded, or used cryptocurrencies in some way. For people aged 18–29, the percentage rises to 31%, while for males in the same age group, it rises to 43%. Participants in the survey who identified as black, Hispanic, or Asian were all more likely to have invested in cryptocurrency than those who identified as white. There did not appear to be any inequality in terms of income.
