Tone Glow

Klara Lewis (b. 1993) is a Swedish electronic and ambient musician whose debut album, Ett (2014), was released by Editions Mego. Since then she’s released a few solo albums, like Too (2016), and various collaborative albums including Care (2018) with Simon Fisher Turner, KLMNOPQ (2021) with Peder Mannerfelt, Full-On (2023) with Nik Colk Void, and Salt Water (2024) with Yuki Tsujii. In 2024, she released the album Thankful, a tribute to Mego boss Peter Rehberg.

Photo courtesy of the artist Duncan Harrison (b. 1986) is a British experimental musician. While born in London, Harrison moved to Brighton during his university years because of his fondness for the city’s experimental scene, typified by labels like Chocolate Monk. Harrison began making drone music as a teenager, but his work soon shifted towards sound collage and sound poetry, constructing narratives out of abstract sonics and voice.

Photo courtesy of the artist Barn Sour is the artist name for Pat Klassen (b. 1989), a musician and painter from Winnipeg. Throughout the late 2000s and early 2010s, Klassen made harsh noise and dense textural collages under a variety of monikers, including Sleep and Fresh Water Girls.

Chakeiya Camille Richmond (b. 1992) is a Chicago-born, New York-based artist who’s released two albums of immersive, introspective neo-soul under her artist name keiyaA: Forever, Ya Girl (2020) and hooke’s law (2025). Having grown up in Chicago’s South Side, she took part in different cultural arts programs and eventually studied jazz before focusing on making electronic music and R&B.

Martha Reeves (b. 1941) is a legendary Motown singer known for fronting the girl group Martha Reeves and The Vandellas. Throughout the 1960s, they released numerous hits including “Heat Wave,” “Quicksand,” and “Dancing in the Street,” the latter of which was co-written by Marvin Gaye, William “Mickey” Stevenson, and Ivy Jo Hunter. Reeves was born in Alabama before her family moved to Detroit when she was still an infant.

Tone Glow is excited to present two additional concerts featuring the singular Nirosta Steel in light of his tremendous new album, My Skyscraper. The show takes place on Saturday, September 19th in Chicago at The Hideout (1354 W. Wabansia Ave). The two shows are at 5PM and 8PM, and support was chosen by Nirosta Steel himself. Tickets go on sale Friday, August 14th at 10AM central time. For the early show, support comes from Mei Jun. For the late show, support comes from Barreleye and Shining Example.

Cristóbal León (b. 1980) and Joaquín Cociña (b. 1980) are Chilean visual artists and filmmakers best known for their 2018 film The Wolf House(aka La Casa Lobo), one of the best and most haunting animated films of the 21st century.

Fronted by LA-based singer-songwriter Madeline Babuka Black, Slippers is one of the most exciting acts to emerge from the recent wave of scrappy indie-pop coming from the partnership between Perennial Records and K Records. The project’s sophomore album, Slippers 08 (2026), was recorded while Babuka Black was completing her MFA in animation at the California Institute of the Arts.
