Toronto’s longest-running Filipino festival returns in August with Grammy-winning Black Eyed Peas member Apl.de.Ap set to headline. The Mabuhay Philippines Festival takes place on Aug. 22 and 23 at Nathan Phillips Square and is free to attend. Besides Apl.de.Ap, acclaimed Filipino actress Janine Gutierrez is also making an appearance at this year’s festival, which is presented by the Philippine Independence Day Council (PIDC).
