By Saturday the fatigue is starting to sink in for this Punk loving Ulsterman as Rebellion enters it’s sixth day! What I need to get me going is not one but two sets from that loveable rogue, Ricky Warwick. The first set takes place at the acoustic stage where Ricky runs through some solo, Black Star Riders and new material released with his Fighting Hearts. Ricky has been looking forward to making his Rebellion debut (or Punkrockutopia as he has rather wonderfully renamed it).
GEOFF TATE IGNITES DUBLIN WITH A PROGRESSIVE MASTERPIECE
The digitally projected logo at the back of the stage looked impressive, but got further enhanced when the house lights went down at 8.05 pm. And although there may have been no element of surprise song wise, once the customary spoken word intro of I Remember Now was blasted out of the PA, you could sense a subtle surge of excitement as a few more pint wielding bodies moved closer.
Blacklist Union Release “Madame Butterfly”
Sex, drugs and rock ’n’ roll: a decades-old rocker motto — and one Blacklist Union frontman Tony West now gives a rather fluttering reinterpretation. Less drugs, more heart-shaped eyes. Still rock ’n’ roll, naturally. Once upon a time, declarations of love were sent by carrier pigeon, written down poetically, or — for those in a hurry — simply spoken out loud. Tony West, however, has chosen the more pompous route. Because really, what expresses affection better than a song?
Motley Crue, Tesla And Extreme Bring The Return Of The Carnival Of Sins Tour To Minnesota
It was a big night at the Mystic Lake Amphitheater in Shakopee, Minnesota for fans of music that once dominated MTV in the 80’s. Motley Crue has hit the road this summer on “The Return of the Carnival of Sins’ tour and has enlisted Tesla and Extreme as support acts. Fans of all ages filled the Amphitheater for a night, for some it’s a nostalgia rush, and for the many of younger fans, the first time they have seen any of these bands.
Bloodstock 2026 – Sunday: One Last Push
written by Natalie Purnell By the time Sunday arrived, Bloodstock had well and truly taken its toll. After days of blazing sunshine, clouds of dust, late nights, early mornings and more metal than the average human body probably needs in one weekend, the signs of fatigue were starting to show. Faces looked more tired, legs were starting to drag and everyone seemed to be running on whatever reserves they had left. But this was Bloodstock Sunday. The final day.
Five Finger Death Punch, Cody Jinks and Eva Under Fire Take Hold Of Minnesota
Five Finger Death Punch is currently on tour in North America celebrating their newest album ‘Legacy’ and having two decades of bruising riffs and hard rocking choruses. The tour made a stop at the Mystic Lake Amphitheater in Shakopee, MN with Cody Jinks and Eva Under Fire in support roles. I had the pleasure of returning to one of my favorite places, the Mystic Lake Amphitheater, to cover the latest tour to take over the newly constructed venue.
Bloodstock 2026 – Saturday: Sunshine and Sheer Brutality
written by Natalie Purnell By Saturday, you would have expected the Bloodstock faithful to be starting to feel the effects of the weekend. Three days of metal, late nights, early mornings, heat and enough walking to qualify as a marathon should surely have taken its toll. But as I arrived at Catton Park, one thing was immediately obvious, the spirits were still incredibly high. If anything, Saturday felt even more energetic than the days before it. The only problem was the weather.

The Pineapple Thief Announce Far And Wide
Progressive art-rockers The Pineapple Thief have announced their new studio album Far And Wide — a title that already hints at a certain creative restlessness. Founded in 1999 by Bruce Soord, the band have long been one of the genre’s most successful and accomplished outfits, releasing 16 studio albums and touring worldwide.
Bloodstock 2026 – Friday: Heat, Dust and Heavy Metal
written by Natalie Purnell After Thursday’s historic opening, Friday was where Bloodstock really felt like it had arrived. The crowds were bigger, the stages were busier and, most noticeably, the sun was absolutely relentless. Catton Park was hot, dry and increasingly dusty, with every passing crowd kicking up clouds of dust that seemed to settle on absolutely everything. But if there is one thing you learn at Bloodstock, it’s that a bit of heat and dust isn’t going to stop the metalheads.
