Unstacked Substack
Newsletter (Digital)
This is a place for thoughts and opinions from a book lover with a bad attitude. It won’t only be books here at Unstacked. There will be hot takes. There will also be author interviews, recipes, pop culture recs, and whatever else is getting me worked up.
For now, here is the plan: Fridays will be for everyone, with our author interview series “Read to Know Basis”
You’ll get to unlock the next level of Unstacked when you sign up for a paid subscription. That’s where you’ll find bonus episodes, weekly Show & Tell, anticipated reads, book pairings, power rankings, and discussion threads! Source

This week marks the start of the literary award season for me. Kirkus released their finalist lists, and since they award a nonfiction prize that is where I start the season — sorry Booker, you’re too exclusive for me. Also, after weeks of begging, and being mad at, Barack Obama, he dropped his book list. I think it is a little uninspired as a whole, but am sure many of the books are great on their own. I have read four of them. I was thrilled to see S. A. Cosby on there.
Show & Tell: Swifties, Spice, and Everything Nice
This is Show & Tell where I tell you some things I loved from the week and the one thing I hated, plus round up everything else going on around these parts. The first half of Show & Tell is free to all. The adoration and hateration are for paid subscribers only. Another absolutely chaotic week for me. I barely read at all, which I hate for myself, but am in the middle of a handful of projects, so I know I will have something to show for myself in the coming days and weeks.
