Eliminating float when back dragging
17 minutes ago / Eliminating float when back dragging #2 Not sure I understand but the answer appears to be don't use the float. Not sure how much material you are trying to drag back. The downward (not curl) angle of the bucket will affect how much material is pulled. Sounds like you are using the back of the bucket to smooth with. You should be using the front cutting edge...it will cut in and pull more material, even in float mode, the steeper it is to the ground.

Introduction
Just made use of the specifications info & can confirm my 345 was produced in 1996 - I became the 2nd owner in summer of 1998. Have questions / apprehensions about the notorious plastic camshaft gear - it purrs nicely right now - but feel it is only prudent to understand the options.
Introduction
Good morning. I signed up on this forum a little while ago, but never got into it. I just purchased a used Massey Ferguson 1540 with 800 hours to help finish clearing part of our 16ac in Southwest Pennsylvania so we can soon build a home. I'm sure I'll be reaching out for support and advice as the inevitable repairs need to happen. Looking forward in connecting with some of you.
Y385T Engine Trouble
Hi, This is a "Siromer 304" which I believe may be the same as Jinma 254. It has the Y385T engine. First sign of trouble was an occasional different sound while running at high power (mowing). Just enough not to be sure. Then next time out it was worse and seemed to be shuddering as if not running on all cylinders. That continued at idle for a while before settling down to normal. I changed the fuel filter because (a) I had one to hand (b) it as overdue and (c) no other immediate ideas.
