It will be etched into the ages, as yesterday’s eruption of Australian snowboarding at the 12th Annual Transfer Banked Slalom saw riders from all walks spill out onto a course resembling that of a lava flow at the base of Thredbo’s Supertrail. A geological wonder by Thredbo parks combining both primordial willpower and immaculate snow sculpting skills to build what’s being heralded as the ‘sickest course yet’ in the 12 years of the TBS’s existence.

The Snow League is heading to Cardrona this September for the inaugural Snow League World Challenge, a first-of-its-kind international team event featuring top halfpipe snowboarders from around the world. There’s plenty going on here, bear with us… Season Two kicks off with 16 athletes across four teams – Team North America, Team Europe, Team Asia-Pacific, and Team Challengers – each with one male and one female snowboarder (plus freeski athletes).

September 2026 will mark the beginning of our southern hemisphere journey with the introduction of The Uninvited Boarding Pass Presented by Burton. The Snow League today announced the official calendar for its highly anticipated Season Two, featuring the inaugural Snow League World Challenge in Cardrona, New Zealand, the addition of Park City Mountain to the league’s regular season roster, and the return of events in Aspen and LAAX.

We all wanted it so badly, but even though it wasn’t the colour he was chasing, Scotty James has etched his name into the history books at the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics, claiming silver in a the probably the most dramatic men’s snowboard halfpipe final in history. With the result, Scotty becomes Australia’s most successful Winter Olympian – and the only Australian to win medals at three consecutive Winter Games.
