The modern stock market has effectively ceased to function as a venue for individual security selection. Investing being business as usual? No ma’am, not in the least bit. This is a whole new world. One that requires a different mentality before we can even begin to operate successfully in it. First, the S&P 500 Index ($SPX) devolved into one giant, unified macro trade. Then it infected other equity asset classes. Now, it is not uncommon to see stocks, bonds, commodities, and crypto all moving in sync.

Semiconductor industry leader Nvidia Corporation (NVDA) has expanded its collaboration with Taiwanese fabless semiconductor company MediaTek to co-develop next-gen AI computing platforms. The centerpiece of this expanded partnership is MediaTek’s adoption of Nvidia’s NVLink Fusion interconnect. This lets MediaTek’s customers design custom AI accelerators (XPUs) that plug into Nvidia’s rack-scale AI factories.

SoFi Technologies (SOFI) continues to post robust quarterly results, yet its share price remains down 43.5% from its 52-week peak, trailing the broader market. SoFi’s underperformance stems largely from the market’s anxiety over the company's evolving revenue mix. In recent quarters, the company has become more reliant on its lending business, which requires substantial capital and exposes the company to greater credit risk.

Dell Technologies (DELL) just posted another monster beat-and-raise quarter that saw DELL stock jump more than 15% on Sept. 1 and almost 5% in the following session. But as delighted as Dell investors are, Micron Technology (MU) investors should be equally ready to celebrate. The quarterly numbers validate Micron's growth trajectory, and it shows there is little let up in sight.

Kroger (KR) is set to report its second-quarter results before the market opens on Sept. 11, 2026. Analysts are looking for adjusted earnings of $1.05 per share for the quarter ending July 2026. That would mark a small 1% rise from the EPS of $1.04 the company reported in the same period last year. Kroger reported adjusted EPS of $1.58 on June 18, 2026, which came in just below the $1.59 consensus estimate.

I spend a lot of time analyzing exchange-traded funds (ETFs) here. And while you might think that’s because I’ve analyzed those securities individually for a long time (I have), the thing about ETF analysis is this: if you do enough of it, for enough years, you start to see patterns of behavior. And while they don’t always immediately say “buy this” or “sell this,” they do something I think is at least as important to traders and investors.

SpaceX (SPCX) has just delivered a fresh shock to Howmet Aerospace (HWM), putting one of the company’s most closely watched growth opportunities under the spotlight. Shares of Howmet plunged 7.5% after CEO Elon Musk revealed that SpaceX plans to bring the casting of natural-gas turbine blades and vanes in-house, arguing that the move could accelerate the deployment of new turbines by as much as 18 months.

If you haven't had "the talk" with your significant other, you need to. No no no. Not that talk. The financial talk. While it's perfectly fine to lead with your heart in a relationship, you still have to use your head every now and then. At some point, you and your significant other will likely talk about marriage, having kids, moving from one place to another, retirement … and dozens of other topics that, in one way or another, involve money. It's not fun. It can actually be pretty contentious.

Even the most famous dividend stocks can fall out of favor. Sure, the tech industry may be one of the most sought-after industries today, but that does not mean every stock performs well all the time. With cutthroat competition and fast-changing sentiment, share prices can easily fall even when the underlying business remains intact. For dividend investors, that's worth watching.
