Trinity Christian senior Gavin Klar named National Merit Semifinalist
Trinity Christian School is proud to announce that senior Gavin Klar has been named a Semifinalist in the 2027 National Merit Scholarship Program, one of the most prestigious academic honors a high school student can achieve. Klar joins a select group of students nationwide. This year, the National Merit Scholarship Corporation named 16,000 Semifinalists in the 72nd annual National Merit Scholarship Program. That number represents less than 1 percent of U.S. high school seniors.
TexAmericas Center Surpasses 1.5 Million Square Feet of Leased Space
Texarkana, USA (September 8, 2026) – TexAmericas Center, which owns and operates one of the largest advanced manufacturing, logistics and rail-served industrial parks in the United States, today announced it has surpassed 1.5 million square feet of leased commercial and industrial space across its footprint. The organization now has more than 1.65 million square feet under lease. A new agreement with a major defense contractor was the final piece that pushed the total past the milestone.

Floyd Webb, Jr.
July 21, 1934 – August 27, 2026 Mr. Floyd “Tat” Webb Jr., 92, of Buckner, Arkansas, passed away August 27, 2026, at Baptist Health Medical Center–North Little Rock. He was born July 21, 1934, in Shongaloo, Louisiana, to Floyd Talton Webb Sr. and Candy Webb. Floyd was a man of God, who read his bible and attended church as much as he could. Floyd was baptized at an early age and was a member of the Church of Christ, attending McKamie Road Church of Christ.

Locksley Patricia May passed on September 7, 2026, at the age of 82. Locksley was born on May 8, 1944, and was a resident of Wake Village, Texas. Member of Hardy Memorial Methodist Church. Loved square dancing for many years as well as playing cards with her family and friends. Enjoyed playing slots and was an avid reader. She was known as Nanny to her grandkids who she loved spending time with. She is preceded in death by her mother and father Julius and Elizabeth Griffin, sister Mary Lou Blalock.

Reba Maxine Sellers passed on September 6, 2026, at the age of 96, having been born on January 27, 1930, and residing in Texarkana, Arkansas. Charter member of Cornerstone Baptist Church. At the age of 92 became a member of Landmark Pentecostal Church. For years loved her breakfast club with her past Southern Clinic coworkers. Loved fishing with her husband Buddy for many years.
Texarkana College sets all-time enrollment record with 5,100 students
Texarkana College has set a new all-time enrollment record, enrolling 5,100 students for fall 2026 as of Sept. 4 and surpassing the college’s previous record of 5,054 students set in 2009. The milestone comes as TC continues to enroll students for its second session of eight-week courses, which begin Oct. 12.
