Move-In Day - Housing and Residential Communities | The University of Alabama
InfoImportant Move-In Day Information Only the resident may check into the residence hall. Parents/guardians will not be permitted to check in on the resident’s behalf, or in the student’s absence. No trailers or moving trucks are allowed through the unloading lanes. Moving vans are permitted, as long as they fit in a typical parking space. Arrive at your building at your scheduled Move-In time and date. Scheduling is set up to prevent traffic jams and long elevator waits.

The UA Safety App provides students, employees and visitors with immediate access to information in case of an emergency. Features include a built-in GPS to every campus building and shelter locations, AEDs and safety guidelines for potential hazards. If you are planning to live in a residence hall this year, there are a few key things you need to know before you arrive on campus: Only you, the resident, can check into the residence hall.
UA honors more than 700 employees for years of service
UA recognized employees with five years of service milestones in a ceremony on July 16. President Peter J. Mohler congratulated the honorees for their years of service, and participants were presented with a commemorative key ring engraved with their years of service. They also reminisced with fellow honorees and enjoyed a reception buffet. Here we honor just three of the 711 UA employees from all divisions, colleges and schools, and the Office of the President.
