The final phase of the Green Man Lane estate regeneration in West Ealing can now restart after Ealing Council approved changes to the development agreement. A new developer partner, Higgins Partnerships, will take over the remaining work and complete the last planned homes, after the project was paused for three years when the previous contractor entered administration. The regeneration began in 2005 to tackle a shortage of family-sized homes and reduce crime and anti-social behaviour.

Latimer Homes has recently launched River Gateway, just south of the River Avon. One-bedroom homes are available from £102,000 for a 40 per cent share, with estimated monthly costs of £1,006, and a minimum deposit of £5,100. The company behind the major Wellington Gate development in Grove near Wantage has handed over the latest tranche of homes to a local housing provider. Persimmon Homes Wessex marked the occasion on-site with CBRE Investment Management (CBRE IM) who funded the homes, on behalf of the firm’s UK Affordable Housing Fund. The homes will be managed by Pinnacle Spaces on behalf of CBRE IM. They were joined for the handover by local parish, district, and county councillor Ron Batstone.

An application for the phased development of up to 450 dwellings, land for primary school uses, a community hub, travel links and other infrastructure, will be heard this Thursday, at South Gloucestershire Council’s strategic sites delivery committee meeting. The application is being brought forward by Bloor Homes, and intends to expand upon the existing village of Coalpit Heath, by utilising approximately 38 hectares of agricultural land to the south-east.

Savills, on behalf of Peterborough City Council, has advised on a new letting at the Herlington Centre in Peterborough, with Clayton Pharm agreeing to take Unit 22 to operate a healthcare retail store. The Herlington Centre is a retail destination serving the Orton area of Peterborough, providing a range of local amenities and services for the surrounding residential population.

Wandsworth Council leader Cllr Robert Morritt has welcomed the latest phase of regeneration at Battersea Power Station after attending the ground-breaking ceremony for Prospect Place South. The new phase, led by Battersea Power Station Development Company and Sisk, will continue transforming the 42-acre riverside neighbourhood. The project is expected to generate around 400 jobs, with a target of 20 per cent local employment.

Natural England has formally submitted a proposal to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs to extend the boundary of the Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, now referred to as a national landscape. If approved, the extension would add 129 km² to the protected area, increasing its size by 30.5 per cent. The proposal follows years of technical assessment, public consultation, and engagement with local communities, landowners, and partners.

Barratt London has teamed up with Harrow Council to launch Discount Market Sale homes at Florence Apartments in Eastman Village, aiming to help local buyers who are struggling to afford market-rate homes. New research cited in the announcement found that only about 12.5 per cent of first-time buyers can afford an average starter home in their local area using their own income.

Woodhatch Place in Reigate has been recommended as East Surrey Council’s preferred main office from 1 April 2027. If the East Surrey Shadow Executive approves it on 14 September, the move would provide a practical short-term base so the new council can begin operating effectively, maintain service continuity, and support staff with flexible workspace from day one.
