The Louisiana–Monroe Warhawks (ULM Warhawks) are the intercollegiate athletics teams representing the University of Louisiana at Monroe (ULM). ULM currently fields 15 varsity teams (six men's and nine women's) in 11 sports, and competes at the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I (Football Bowl Subdivision in football) level as a member of the Sun Belt Conference. MONROE, La. — The ULM football team will be making the trip down to Baton Rouge, facing local opponent LSU in the 2028 season, as announced on Friday (July 17). The teams will match up on August 26, becoming the first faceoff in seven years for the two teams. "We are looking forward to the trip to Baton Rouge and appreciative of LSU hosting us in 2028," said Director of Athletics SJ Tuohy. "We have many crossover fans in northeast Louisiana who I know will be looking forward to the game.

Four Warhawks Named Preseason All-Sun Belt Honorees
MONROE, La. — Four ULM football players have been recognized in the preseason on the Preseason All-Sun Belt lists, the most in the Bryant Vincent era and the most since 2020. Two offensive and two defense players were featured on the teams for the Warhawks. AJ Vinson and Noah Flemmings were recognized on the Preseason All-Sun Belt First Team and Nic Trujillo and Jabari Tiller were named to the second team.
Dupont Named All-Louisiana, Mauzy Earns Honorable Mention
MONROE, La. — Two ULM baseball players have earned recognition on the LSWA All-Louisiana teams, following the 2026 season. The two Warhawks are the most listed as All-Louisiana since 2019. Kade Dupont was named to the second team, while Davis Mauzy earned honorable mention recognition. Utility player Kade Dupont adds to his list of accolades this season, after being named to the ABCA/Rawlings All-South Region Second Team and as a Brooks Wallace Player of the Year semifinalist.
ULM Volleyball Releases 2026 Schedule
MONROE, La. – ULM Volleyball has announced its schedule for the 2026 season, the second under head coach Reid Gann. ULM finished the 2025 season with a 10-20 overall record. After two exhibition matches, the Warhawks open the season on the road in Commerce, Texas, where they will play SIU Carbondale (Aug. 28), Texas Southern (Aug. 29) and East Texas A&M (Aug. 30) in a three-day contest.
ULM Football Attendees Announced for 2026 Sun Belt Football Media Days
NEW ORLEANS – Senior linebacker Noah Flemmings and senior offensive lineman AJ Vinson will represent ULM football alongside head coach Bryant Vincent at the Sun Belt Football Media Days, the conference office revealed on Thursday (July 9). The SBC Football Media Days will occur across two days at the New Orleans Marriott Warehouse Arts District Hotel, with the Sun Belt West Division appearing on Thursday, July 16.
Fletcher Announces 2026-27 Signing Class
MONROE, La. — The ULM women's basketball team welcomes a class of 12 newcomers for the 2026-27 season. Head coach Scotty Fletcher brings in players from all over the country, including Illinois, Tennessee, New York, Texas, Oklahoma, Georgia, Arkansas, Mississippi and Maryland, as well as players from France, New Zealand, and Angola. ULM returns center Roge'Ne Hillard from the 2025-26 roster. Hillard did not appear last season due to injury recovery.
Nine Warhawks Earn LSWA All-Louisiana Track & Field Recognition
MONROE, La. – Nine ULM track and field athletes were named to the LWSA All-Louisiana Track & Field teams on Monday afternoon (July 6), which is earned by being one of the top three results in the state in a specific event. Matthew Malcolm was named All-Louisiana for the second-straight season, reaching the second-best time in the 400m hurdles in Louisiana (50.48). Mario Santin was just behind him, a 51.12 in the 400m hurdles earnign him the honors.
ULM Basketball Set to Compete in MAC-SBC Challenge
MONROE, La. – Both Warhawk basketball teams will be participating in the fourth MAC-SBC Challenge, with the men's basketball team hosting Central Michigan and the women's team traveling to Ohio on November 2, in matchups jointly announced by the Mid-American Conference and Sun Belt Conference on Thursday (July 2). The scheduling alliance will act as the season-opening game in 2026-27, with 12 SBC schools participating.
