A key questionnaire was sent to all 14 Makerfield By-Election candidates asking their solutions to the cost-of-living crisis. It has resulted in the leading candidates playing a very tactical game, as this article explains. I am an independent political commentator and would like some information on the march: When was it first publicised, was this before or after the Tommy Robinson organised march was first publicised? Who and when was it decided to make it a dual-purpose march, with two different political issues? With regard to Palestinian rights there are many people who consider themselves to be patriotic, who support such rights.

Pope Leo XIV seems like the proverbial ‘nice chap’ and, to a traditional Roman Catholic like myself, I consider that he is already doing a better job than his disastrous predecessor Pope Francis. He comports himself with dignity, seems to be approachable and has started to issue some statements about the appropriate conduct of the Novus Ordo Mass, where standards have long been slipping in many churches. I have just made my first visit to the Czech Republic, specifically to its wonderful, beautiful and historic capital Prague. Jim Radcliffe, chairman of Manchester United, was denounced by the political and media establishment this week for his remark that ‘Britain in being colonised by immigrants’. Sir Keir Starmer found time to respond, calling his words ‘offensive and wrong’. Inevitably, Ratcliffe felt the need to apologise and now the FA is looking into his behaviour. Perhaps this was another ‘psy-op’, demonstrating to long-suffering white Britons that telling the truth on mass immigration has consequences.
