Today, the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) launched a new landing webpage and an updated statistics webpage on the USPTO.gov website. The updated landing webpage enhances user experience and highlights the most valuable information, such as the procedures governing trials and appeals, Director processes, and resources. The updated statistics webpage highlights current fiscal year trial statistics, appeals statistics, PTAB dashboards, and special reports.
USPTO announces Madrid e-Filing as the new platform for international trademark filings
CONTACT: (Media Only) (571) 272-8400 or press@uspto.gov ALEXANDRIA, Va.—Today, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) announced it will transition outbound international trademark filings from the Trademark Electronic Application System (TEAS) to the Madrid e-Filing system (Madrid e-Filing), the secure filing platform operated by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and used by intellectual property offices in more than 40 countries.
Transition to Madrid e-Filing
U.S. office of origin, outbound international filings are moving from the Trademark Electronic Application System International (TEASi) to the Madrid e-Filing system: Between July 31 and September 30: File in TEASi or Madrid e‑Filing Beginning October 1: File all new outbound applications in Madrid e‑Filing Madrid e-Filing is a secure filing system run by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).
