The information we publish, and the services we offer, are designed to help policymakers accomplish their objectives – to be more effective in providing leadership and vision, campaigning, lobbying, building coalitions, moving policy initiatives through a city council or the legislature, dealing with the personal challenges of being in the public spotlight, developing priorities and winning support for them, understanding issues, dealing effectively with the news media, and communicating effectively by delivering the right messages to the right audiences.

Lee bill authorizes American hackers to fight foreign cyberattacks
U.S. Senator Mike Lee (R-UT) today introduced legislation that would allow private American entities to prevent foreign cyberattacks against the United States. The Cyber Letters of Marque and Reprisal Act authorizes President Trump to issue letters of marque and reprisal to strategically deter and disrupt cyber operations against the U.S. The bill continues Senator Lee’s recent work to revive the use of traditional letters of marque and reprisal under the Constitution.

Utah pushes federal government to further crackdown on illegal robocalls
Today, Attorney General Brown and 48 other attorneys general called on the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to strengthen rules that would cut off scammers’ access to the legitimate telephone numbers they use to reach their victims. Americans received approximately 29.6 billion scam robocalls and texts in 2025, a 16 percent increase over the previous year, and lost nearly $2 billion to phone scams.
