Event description The International Festival is a vibrant celebration of UT’s global community. Student groups and organizations host booths with food, activities, art, and more to showcase their cultural traditions. Along with music and dance performances, a fashion show, and cultural demonstrations, the International Festival provides our campus community with an opportunity to explore cultures from around the world without ever leaving campus.

Event description The Denbo Center for Humanities & the Arts is collaborating with Knoxville's Central Cinema on a series of film screenings connected to our 2026-2027 annual theme, "Authenticity: Identity and Place." August's showing will be Mississippi Masala, and will include an introduction and short moderated Q&A by professor Urmila Seshagiri (English). Tickets are $5 and may be purchased at Central Cinema.

Event description The Denbo Center for Humanities & the Arts invites arts and humanities faculty to join director Amy Elias and associate director Katie Burnett at a (free) 2-day writing challenge this summer, on August 3 and 4! We will meet both days at the Denbo Center from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm to work on our writing together. The Denbo Center will provide coffee, tea, pastries and lunch each day for Challenge registrants. We do not offer individual workspaces.

Open to all Hamilton County youth in 4th through 8th grades. There is no cost to participate and new members are always welcome! Milan No-Till Crop Production Field Day Event description The Milan No-Till Crop Production Field Day is one of the most far-ranging agricultural field days in the nation. This event is presented by UT AgResearch and UT Extension. Thirteen tours covering all aspects of no-till agriculture will be held at the 34th Milan No-Till Field Day, scheduled for July 23, 2026, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. CDT at the AgResearch and Education Center at Milan. This free event is open to the public.
