Great news for Filipino Valorant players, Riot just announced that a Manila-based game server for its hit tactical hero shooter is going live later this month. Valorant‘s new Manila server is set to go live alongside patch 11.04 on August 19, 2025. It represents the sixth server for the Asia Pacific Shard. As for why Riot is rolling out the server just now, the company state’s that it is due to how much the game’s playerbase in the country has grown over the past five years.
Fatal Fury's latest free Street Fighter DLC might be teasing a new SNK vs. Capcom
Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves first free Street Fighter crossover DLC character, Ken, arrived earlier this week. Beyond SNK starting to pay Capcom back for adding Fatal Fury characters Terry Bogard and Mai Shiranui in Street Fighter 6, it seems that Ken’s inclusion is also teasing a new SNK vs. Capcom game. The hint takes place during the ending of Ken’s arcade mode, specifically during the stinger — the post-credits scene — after the ending proper.
Sony is aware of complaints about Marvel Tōkon being region-locked on Steam
One major concern players from some regions have regarding Sony and Arc System Works’ Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls is that it’s region-locked on Steam. However, it seems that Sony is aware of the issue and is looking to address it. Region locking has long been an issue with a number of Sony-published games on Steam. This is due to the fact that not all countries are officially supported on Sony’s PlayStation Network.
Support for Genshin Impact on PlayStation 4 is being discontinued
Hoyoverse just announced that support for the Genshin Impact‘s PlayStation 4 version will be discontinued by next year. The company cited “limitations related to hardware performance” as one of its reasons for doing so, adding that hardware requirements for the mobile versions on Android and iOS may also increase.

See the Street Fighter 6 swimsuits in action in this new trailer
Even while the C. Viper trailer was leaked, Capcom still had one more Street Fighter 6 trailer to drop at Evo 2025. This latest video finally shows the game’s upcoming swimsuits for select characters in action. When the “Outfit 4” swimsuits were first revealed last June, all Capcom dropped was some art of the new costumes. Now, fans finally get to see them in action in-game.
Invincible VS drops a gameplay trailer for Omni-Man
The Invincible VS team dropped a new trailer at Evo 2025, showcasing Omni-Man. That Omni-Man would be in Invincible VS is a no-brainer, considering how important he is to the show. As such, the trailer below dispenses with introducing him, instead showing off all the cool and brutal things he can do in the game. In particular, the trailer below shows off more than a few moves and sequences taken straight out of the hit Amazon show.
Miari Zo is Tekken 8's new character, coming in the Winter
At Evo 2025, Bandai Namco revealed that Tekken 8 would be getting a brand new character later this year – Miari Zo from Madagascar. Miari Zo, the fourth and final character for the game’s second season pass, was revealed at the end of the new gameplay trailer for Armor King that was shown before the game’s top 8 matches at the tournament. (Read: Tekken 8 Season Two’s next character is Fahkumram) Sadly, no actual gameplay of Tekken 8‘s new character was shown.
Sega drops the first new Virtua Fighter gameplay trailer
At Evo 2025, Sega finally gave fans a glimpse of the new Virtua Fighter game’s actual gameplay. The video below, which shows returning character Akira and new character Stella, shows gameplay that looks very much in line with how the series has played over the years. The subtle improvements over previous games look to be towards the smoothness of the gameplay. The initial reveal trailer showed action that was more akin to a Hong Kong kung-fu movie, and this new trailer retains that feel.
The Street Fighter 6 World Tour trailer for C. Viper leaked early
The Street Fighter 6 trailer for returning DLC character C. Viper was inadvertently released early by PlayStation YouTube Channel. The trailer, which was likely meant to be shown sometime during Street Fighter 6‘s finals at Evo 2025 later today, shows what the CIA agent has been upto since she her last playable appearance in Street Fighter IV. As expected, C. Viper returns because she’s investigating the possible return of the criminal organization Shadaloo, led by M. Bison.
