Apple's WWDC 2025 will take place June 9-13
Apple today announced plans for this year’s Worldwide Developer Conference. The WWDC 2025 will take place online from June 9 to 13, with a special event at Apple Park in California. At WWDC25, Apple will preview the next major version of its software lineup, including iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS, tvOS, and visionOS. While the upcoming software upgrades are obvious, there could also be some product announcements during the opening keynote of WWDC.
Ted Lasso is returning for a fourth season on Apple TV Plus
Apple TV Plus’ hit comedy series, Ted Lasso is returning for a fourth season. Jason Sudeikis, who plays the title character Ted Lasso, revealed that the script for the fourth season is underway, in a New Heights podcast. Sudeikis didn’t reveal much about the new season or any release date, but he did mention that Ted will be coaching a women’s team in season four. It has been two years since the third season of Ted Lasso premiered on Apple TV Plus.
Apple unveils the new Mac Studio with M4 Max and M3 Ultra chips
Apple has unveiled the new Mac Studio featuring the M4 Max chip and the M3 Ultra chip. The announcement follows the new iPad Air and the M4 MacBook Air that launched this week. While the compact design of Mac Studio remains unchanged, Apple says the latest Mac Studio brings pro performance and a “massive leap for users” coming from older Macs. The M4 Max chip on the new Mac Studio can be configured with up to a 16-core CPU, up to a 40-core GPU, and up to 128GB of unified memory.

Apple has officially unveiled the new MacBook Air with M4. The latest MacBook Air lineup introduces a new finish and a more affordable starting price, in addition to the performance improvement of the M4. The M4 chip in the MacBook Air features a 10-core CPU, an up to 10-core GPU, and support for up to 32GB of unified memory, which makes the new Air up to 2x faster than the M1 model, according to Apple.

Apple today announced the new iPad Air with M3 silicon, featuring a performance boost nearly twice as fast as the M1 iPad Air. The device comes in the existing screen sizes, 11 and 13 inches, with a design that is identical to its predecessor. There’s also an updated Magic Keyboard alongside the new iPad Air.

Apple today announced the iPhone 16e, a new member of the iPhone 16 lineup. The handset replaces Apple’s iPhone SE, which was last updated in 2022, as a new budget-friendly iPhone starting at $599. While the iPhone 16e is a significant upgrade from the likes of iPhone SE, some of the features come from the standard iPhone 14 from 2023 paired with the latest Apple silicon. At 6.1 inches of edge-to-edge display, the iPhone 16e packs an A18 silicon that brings Apple Intelligence to the device.

Cook’s post offers limited visibility as to what to expect next week, with an emphasis on “the newest member of the family” in his post. It is for sure that the launch is not a full-fledged event but rather a product announcement; the post shared is more of a teaser than an event invite.
