This is a hacked recipe from a restaurant the girls and I used to go to in Denver. It has since closed, but thankfully, this recipe remains. In food processor, mix zest of lemons with the plain sugar. mix until the sugar is yellow and the zest is finely chopped. In a medium bowl, cream together the lemon sugar, powdered sugar and shortening. Slowly add in vanilla, jello, food dye and beaten egg. In a seperate bowl, combine the cake flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt.
