For many people, turning 60 is a milestone marked by reflection. Well… it is all new… and it checks a lot of performance boxes. I’ll leave the looks up to you, but to me, it looks like Infiniti is trying to out-muscle some of its competitors. It seems a little more menacing…especially in Black. It sports three full rows, and my Grandson reports that access to the rear is no problem at all, thanks to the power-fold-down second row… and it's quite roomy back there. Upfront under the hood, yesterday’s V-8 is gone…replaced by a 3.5 twin-turbo V-6 rated at 450 HP.

There’s a reason I ask. If you’re looking for a genuine “Top Dog”, heaven knows you’ve got choices…lots of ‘em…ranging from half a million bucks down to $50’s and $60’s. And that’s exactly where Nissan throws their wrench into the mix…their loaded Armada brings a whole lotta’ “game” at what might be considered an almost bargain price. Let’s take a look: There are three levels of Armada trim…and all are beefy.

I tested an Equinox a few years ago, and I thought it was…OK. Just OK. The ’26 ACTIV version, however, struck me as much more than just an excellent value. Why? Well, despite the Trax’ low $20-s – high $20’s pricing, Chevy’s Trax gives you more than its small price would suggest. Let’s start with style. If a friend saw you in a Trax, you probably wouldn’t be embarrassed. While Chevy calls the Trax an SUV, it’s really an ever-so-slightly elevated roomy 5-door hatch that…in my opinion…looks darn good. Inside? Not bad at all.

Yes…if you thought that the ’26 Murano might be the usual boxy “refrigerator on wheels”, guess again. Nissan gave the Murano a total makeover last year and dressed it in fastback styling that’s similar to many of your other high-end European and Japanese SUVs. Most folks who saw it said, “What is it? I like it.” Whoa, tho’….Did I just say “other high-end vehicles”? Yes.

Since the fourth-generation introduction in 2025, the Nissan Murano has positioned itself as one of the most comfortable and underrated crossovers in the midsize segment. It has never been the loudest or the flashiest option, but it has consistently delivered where it matters most for everyday drivers. For 2026, Nissan didn’t overhaul the Murano.
