Public invited to discuss high-priority unfunded transportation needs The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) is inviting the public to join the discussion on high-priority unfunded transportation needs at an upcoming meeting. MoDOT, working with its regional planning partners, has outlined a draft High-Priority Unfunded Needs list, which identifies $1.3 billion in annual unfunded transportation needs for the system.
Blood drive planned in Marthasville on August 31
The American Red Cross will host a blood drive from 2 to 6 p.m. Monday, Aug. 31, at American Legion Post 180 in Marthasville. American Legion Post 180 is located at 17452 State Hwy 47, Marthasville. Visit RedCrossBlood.org and enter “StPaulsMarthasville” to schedule an appointment. Those who give blood in August are eligible to receive a $20 Amazon gift card by email. Warrenton man injured in I-70 rollover crash
A Warrenton man was injured in a rollover crash Sunday, Aug. 16, on Interstate 70 in Wright City, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol. The 45-year-old man was traveling east on I-70 near the 199 mile marker “at a high rate of speed” at 3:46 p.m. in a 2009 Cadillac CRT when he veered to the left in an attempt to avoid a 2015 Subaru Crosstrek, also traveling eastbound, according to the MSHP. The front right of the Cadillac struck the back left of the Subaru, according to the crash report.
Glenda Lou Klasener
Glenda Klasener, a beautiful, strong, sassy woman with a heart bigger than life, will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her. She passed away on August 13. Glenda was born on December 16, 1940, in Caruthersville, Missouri, to Raymond McCoy and Olva Johnson. She spent her life building a family and a legacy that will continue through the many lives she touched. Glenda was a woman who could light up a room with her personality.
Groundbreaking planned for 911 Center improvements on August 25
The Warren County Emergency Services Board of Directors, 911 dispatch staff and project partners will officially break ground on an expansion and renovation of their 911 Communications Center in a ceremony later this month. The groundbreaking is scheduled for 9 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 25, at the Warren County Emergency Communications Center, 209 Hwy U, Warrenton.
Cuivre River Electric Cooperative sponsors student leadership experience
Rayhan Nepal, a student from Francis Howell North High School, was among the 110 high school students from across Missouri who participated in the Missouri Electric Cooperative CYCLE (Cooperative Youth Conference and Leadership Experience) program. The conference was held July 14-17-18 at the DoubleTree Hotel in Jefferson City. Cuivre River Electric Cooperative sponsored Nepal on the educational journey.
