Porter bumps fuel surcharge back up to $40 amid ‘unexpected and sharp’ oil price increase
Porter is again raising the fee, which applies to new VIPorter reward bookings, because “the global oil market has since experienced unexpected and sharp price increases,” the airline said in an email to VIPorter members Friday evening. Porter added that its goal was to eliminate the fuel surcharge entirely when it halved the fee to $20 on June 23. “We truly hoped our next update would confirm that full removal,” the email reads.
Ford issues 6 recalls in Canada affecting thousands of cars, SUVs and pickup trucks
Ford has recalled thousands of vehicles in Canada recently over a variety of potential safety defects. The automaker issued six separate recalls, which were posted on the Transport Canada website between July 13 and 17. We go over them one by one below. Flex It affects 5,302 SUVs. This recall replaces Transport Canada recall No. 2025-588.
