I Surrender All WBFJ currently is playing Tasha Layton’s latest song, “Meet Me In The Valley.”  If you’ve heard it, you’ve probably noticed (near the end), where she breaks out and sings the timeless classic hymn, “I Surrender All.” Here is the story of how “I Surrender All,” came together… Written by hymn writer and evangelist Judson Van DeVenter in 1896, the song tells the story of a struggling writer and artist battling whether to enter full-time ministry.

It’s FALL ya’ll 😊 Autumn begins (officially at 8:04pm this evening) Dorian Jackson, a 21-year-old senior at A&T State University, tragically drowned on Saturday while saving his sister from drowning in Lake Norman. The girl was wearing a life jacket, according to officials. Dorian Jackson was not. The university has made grief counseling and support services available to students, faculty, and staff in Murphy Hall.

Rural Hall Area Plan – Public Input Sessions The community is invited to attend a series of public planning discussions to help guide future zoning and development decisions in the Rural Hall area. The planning process includes a series of four public input meetings during which local residents can share their vision for the area and guide the plan forward. All four meetings will take place at the Rural Hall Town Hall beginning at 5:30pm (and lasting about two hours).
