WeAnimate met Søren Bendt at Arsenalet in Viborg. Just last week, The Concept Art Association CAA nominated him as a Live-Action Storyboard Finalist 2026 for his work on Spider-Man: Brand New Day. For nearly 20 years, Søren Bendt has worked as a storyboard, VFX, and concept artist on some of the biggest projects in the world, with credits like Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, The Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power, and, most recently, Spider-Man: Brand New Day.

Viborg Animation Festival (VAF) was held from September 7 to 13 and is the go-to event for Nordic animation. The festival combines professional screenings with talks, workshops, a pitching competition, exhibitions, and much more. It's the most important animation event in Denmark and the Nordics, not least due to its proximity and collaboration with the world-renowned animation school The Animation Workshop (by the Animation Career Review, 2026).
