At least eight people have been killed, including children, and others injured in an Israeli airstrike on a former Gaza school building, the Palestinian civil defence said on Wednesday. The Israeli army said the air force targeted a command centre of the militant organization Hamas inside the former school. The military said that Hamas had used the building for planning and executing attacks on Israeli troops.

Hip-hop mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs pleaded not guilty Tuesday to sex trafficking charges, and a judge denied him bail as he was taken into custody to await trial in an explosive case against one of music’s most influential figures. Combs “abused, threatened, and coerced women and others around him to fulfill his sexual desires, protect his reputation, and conceal his conduct” for decades, according to the unsealed indictment that led to his Sept.

Patton Kizzire came to California this week and hugged his first tree at the suggestion of his new sports psychologist. The Pac-12 is back. Well, almost. The “Conference of Champions” is on the way to rebuilding, starting with the acquisition Thursday of four Mountain West schools: Boise State, San Diego State, Colorado State and Fresno State. They will begin play in the new league in Fall of 2026. That gets Pac-12 commissioner Teresa Gould to six members with Oregon State and Washington State.
