Spotify to tag AI-generated artists
Spotify will start putting “AI Persona” badges on the profiles of artists whose music is generated by artificial intelligence. The new policy will officially go into effect in mid-September, but the people behind these AI artists can self-declare starting August 11. Otherwise, Spotify will examine, identify and label the affected profiles itself.

After more than 10 years since the release of his last solo album, titled The Desired Effect (2015), Brandon Flowers come back with THRASHERhis next album, which will be released on August 21, 2026 through Island Records. As a preview of the material, the singer presented “Tiger’s Blood”simple that adds to “Plans” and “Paradise” as one of the first glimpses of the album.
FRANCESCO GUCCINI “master singer-songwriter” the RAI CULTURE special
“Francesco Guccini, ‘master’ singer-songwriter”, created by Jessica Fedele, Ario Giorgino and Enrico Salvatori, will be broadcast on Thursday 13 August at 9.10pm on Rai Storia, with a repeat on Friday 14 August at 11.10pm. The program pays homage to Guccini, who passed away on August 6 at the age of 86, through a montage of television appearances, concerts and interviews spanning almost forty years of his career.
RUSH announces never-before-seen vinyl reissues
The group RUSH has just announced the vinyl reissue of the cult album released on April 1, 1976, 2112and the compilation initially released in 2003, The Spirit of Radio: Greatest Hits 1974-1987. These two releases are planned for October 2! The reissue of 2112 coincides with its 50th anniversary, and will be available in a new so-called “liquid” vinyl format, while The Spirit of Radio: Greatest Hits 1974-1987 offers a new release, for the first time in this format.
JESSIE WARE watches the video for “Sauna”: the heat becomes a disco party
Jessie-Ware-Sauna-frame-video-2026 The song, one of the two episodes of the album produced by Karma Kid and Stuart Price, finds an almost cinematic dimension in the new video clip. The photographer Jordan Rossi is directing, transforming an elevator into a surreal Turkish bath: the space progressively opens up to the party, until it becomes a dance floor.
Neil Young unveils the title track of his album “Second Song”
Neil Young and the Chrome Hearts to release new album Second Song on September 18, and the lyric video for the title track is already online: a melancholic acoustic ballad lasting more than eleven minutes, about the passage of time and the need for human connection. Young sings about the need to talk to someone — someone his own age, who will smile and talk back, who still remembers; someone with whom to share a way of living and to move slowly through time.
Concert review – FULMINACCI: Salento becomes a song (Scaletta and Info)
In the arena of Piazza Antonio Avantaggiato, for the twentieth edition of the SEI Festival, Fulminacci brings his Fulminacci outdoors, the summer tour born after the debut in the sports halls and after a 2026 which also saw him protagonist on the Ariston stage with “Stupida unfortunate”, winner of the “Mia Martini” Critics Award. Fulminacci takes the stage and, as usual, brings together lightness and depth, immediate songs and writing, irony and melancholy.

Were you aware when attacking this new studio album that it would be the 24th with Jethro Tull and the 30th if we add your solo career or did you stop counting a long time ago? I stopped counting in 1969 (the year Jethro Tull’s second album, Stand Up, was released). In the same way that I stopped listening to other people’s music in the mid-70s. I take things as they come; and, from time to time, the urgency of creativity catches up with me.
