WePresent

WePresent is the award-winning arts platform of WeTransfer, dedicated to collaborating with and championing the work of creative people all around the world, and bringing artistic projects to life to share with WeTransfer’s global audience of more than 80 million people a month. What sets us apart is the fact we work with artists, as opposed to simply reporting on them. We’re not brand sponsors; we’re collaborators and curators.

Jamie-James Medina’s photobook captures the birth of grime Between 2003 and 2006, photographer Jamie-James Medina documented the emergence of a new era of music born in London, one that would go on to become the defining sound of a generation: grime. From early raves with Wiley and Skepta to scaling tower blocks for now iconic death-defying shots, Medina was always present to capture music history as it happened.

WePresent first collaborated with acclaimed photographer and director Renell Medrano back in 2019 on PAMPARA, her first European exhibition and book. Since then we’ve developed a longstanding relationship with the artist, one that has spanned collaborative exhibitions, photography series and the launch of ICE Magazine, her debut magazine that subverts the male gaze and celebrates “ICE Girls” all around the world.
