Due to the termination of its police services contract by the Town of Allegany Council Members, the Village of Allegany Police Department will no longer provide emergency services or routine coverage to the Town of Allegany outside of village limits. According to the Village of Allegany Facebook page, this service disruption directly impacts all residents living outside Village limits, including St. Bonaventure University campus.

Bradford Man Arrested on Warrant in Catt County A Bradford man was arrested on a warrant in New York on Thursday afternoon. Deputies of the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s arrested 54-year-old William H. Cabisca Jr on an active bench warrant from Cattaraugus County Court. William was taken into custody by the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office and transported to the Cattaraugus County Jail where he will be held pending further court proceedings.

A Little Valley woman was arrested on drug charges after a traffic stop in Carrollton Wednesday. Deputies of the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office charged 25-year-old Reda R. Lilley with felony possession of a controlled substance, 2 counts of criminally use of drug paraphernalia and endangering the welfare of a child. The charges stem from a search of the vehicle leading to the discovery of methamphetamine, a scale, and numerous baggies used for drug packaging.

Cuba Man Charged with Felony After Domestic Dispute A Cuba man was arrested on a felony charge after domestic incident. Cuba Police charged 32-year-old Colby A. Smith with a felony aggravated family offense, assault, criminal obstruction of breathing, criminal mischief for disabling equipment to prevent an emergency call to police, unlawful imprisonment and menacing. Smith was processed and sent to the Allegany County Jail.

The United Way of the Bradford Area is currently accepting applications for the fourth quarter of Quarterly Impact funding for 2026. Deadline to apply is November 2, 2026, award announcement on November 23, 2026 and fund distribution set for December 1, 2026 to award recipients. Eligible non-profit agencies may submit a request for up to $1,500 for Quarterly Impact funds.

For archery deer hunters, it’s about to be the best time of the year. Pennsylvania’s statewide archery deer season opens on Oct. 3, 2026, and runs through Nov. 20, 2026. Deer hunters can harvest one antlered deer per license year, and an antlerless deer with each required license or permit. After regular firearms deer season, archery deer season reopens Dec. 26, 2026, and runs through Jan. 24, 2027.

Thursday Night Football brings an AFC North rematch to Cleveland, and both teams enter 2-and-1. The Steelers are coming off a 30-27 win over Cincinnati, with Aaron Rodgers tying Ben Roethlisberger’s 165 career regular-season wins and posting his 88th career game with three or more touchdown passes.
