That’s an average loss of about 25 newspaper and online media outlets every year over the past decade.

I participated in three local round table talks on the transitioning of Alberta Health structures. The government made every effort to consult but it was up to people to attend. In Taber, I was the only person who showed up. Think about that! A city the size of Taber and only one person showed up.

During the six months previous to Vancouver becoming a city, a conflagration of enterprising businesses, shrewd speculators and far-seeing capitalists had constructed imposing buildings, business blocks, stores and warehouses.

From May to September, Town crews monitor and treat known breeding areas to reduce nuisance mosquitoes and help lower the risk of West Nile virus. The Town no longer fogs for mosquitoes because the product previously used for large-area fogging is no longer available in Canada.
