Australian electric vehicle sales reported by Tesla and Polestar continued their strong 2026 run in September, with combined deliveries rising almost 20 per cent compared with the same month last year. New figures from the Electric Vehicle Council (EVC) show the two brands delivered 5854 battery-electric vehicles during September, up from 4899 a year earlier.

Chery has confirmed that the Stockman ute will have a thumping 350kW and 800Nm of grunt when it goes on sale, just after announcing that customers can get three years of free servicing and a $2000 gift if they order soon. Mitsubishi Motors Australia has revealed more local details for its new ASX VR-e small electric SUV ahead of its arrival in local showrooms in late 2026.
