We all know that CAPiTA and Union go together like fine wine and aged cheese, but this time the brothers from various mothers stripped things right back to their roots and hit the road for the Sync Tour. No rules, no barriers, no parents, no bedtime… just snowboarding for snowboarding’s sake. From Washington to Tahoe, the crew linked up with local shops, threw down mini jams, handed out prizes and reminded everyone what it’s all about.

Days of Thunder is the brainchild of legendary Snowboy Productions from the USA and Swedish pro snowboarder PJ Gustafsson. A completely unique, international snowboarding eventthat has never been seen on Swedish soil before its inception in April 2025. Not a competition but a unique event that is built on community, creativity and having fun together regardless of age, background or nationality. No rules, no judges, no scoring, no crowds, just riding together and having fun, shooting/filming.

Events The future is now Unless you’ve been living under a rock since Covid, you’ll know just how much we at Whitelines love the Uninvited Invitational. For years, we’ve championed it as one of the events pushing snowboarding forward. The atmosphere is always electric, the course is consistently spectacular, and the riding? Jaw-dropping. This year, for the first time in a while, we weren’t able to attend in person which was genuinely heartbreaking.

Fun fact: alongside being one of the most aptly named events on the calendar, Eastern Boarder’s Last Call is also one of the longest-running contests in the eastern US. For nearly 25 years, riders from around the world have flocked to Loon Mountain for a shot at the $20,000 prize purse. This year, the Rome crew rolled in deep and proceeded to dish out a pretty thorough beating to the burly mix of steel and snow on offer.

Ellery Manning has wasted no time becoming a household name in snowboarding. Just two winters ago, she got a last-minute call-up as an alternate for Robin Van Gyn’s RND event — then promptly stole the show, taking the win and earning herself a spot on the 2025 Natural Selection roster. It wasn’t just the result that turned heads, either. Ellery’s calm, composed flow in serious freeride terrain naturally caught the eye of the snowboard industry as one of the brightest new riders in the scene.

From it’s roots as an influential video series that closed the gap in women’s snowboarding, The Uninvited has grown into an industry-defining global events series — touring the world to showcase the unbelievable talent in women’s snowboarding, and dragging a momentous prize purse with them everywhere they go. Wrapping up the 2026 winter season, The Uninvited Invitational is the main event — bringing the most progressive street-style snowboarders to Woodward Park City from April 9–12.

Culture Three decades of debauchery, Whitelines Magazine celebrates hitting the big 3-0. “Idiots try to put a mirror up to the burgeoning 1990s snowboard scene, but accidentally turn it on themselves instead.

Events The innovative new contest that puts the riders as the priority pops off with a bang in its inaugural year The inaugural Red Bull Features Cup wrapped in spectacular fashion at Oppdal Ski Center, redefining what a snowboard competition can look like.

Weston Snowboards are a brand we’ve long been fans of here at Whitelines. They consistently produce high-quality boards, thoughtfully shaped for their own brand of backcountry destruction (check out this year’s award-winning Gnarnia, for example).

Liam Rivera has claimed victory at the YETI Xtreme Verbier, posting a score of 96 points — the highest ever recorded in Snowboard Men competition on the Bec des Rosses. The result marks a landmark moment for the Swiss-Mexican rider, who grew up watching the event and came through the Verbier Freeride Team. Rivera, the reigning FIS Freeride World Champion, chose a high-risk line that featured a huge air off the cliffs at the top and a burly backflip in the mid-section.
