5:00 PM - 5:30 PM: DMV-The Beat: Nonchalant Enjoy a musical treat featuring Nonchalant, one of the DMV's finest artists, as she brings the beats and rhythms that define the DC sound. 5:30 PM - 6:00 PM: DMV-The Beat: DJ Kool Continue the musical journey with DJ Kool, another iconic artist from the DMV, known for his infectious beats and energetic performances.

On Monday, University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) professor Dr. Safiya Noble joined the Howard University community to discuss diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) as a continuation of WHUT’s @HOWARD series. The UCLA professor discussed the intersections of data science, social media and internet engines. The fireside chat discussed how students across departments at the university can join forces to discuss the importance and power of data.

WHUT releases fun, new and engaging productions weekly with something for just about anyone. Whether you’re a Howard University student or alum, or raised in the heart of the DMV, WHUT is bringing your stories to your station. To kick off WHUT’s newest series, @HOWARD, Howard University, and the Hill hosted a special event designed to raise awareness of the pivotal role Black women play in American politics. The event was held at WHUT and hosted by the Hill’s race and politics reporter Cheyanne M.

On Monday, April 8th, WHUT aired a fireside chat on Artificial Intelligence (AI) with Open AI co-founder Sam Altman as part of its original local series @HOWARD. Moderated by President Ben Vinson III, the conversation dived into the future of AI and proposed one important question: is AI hurtful or helpful? The utilization of AI has become increasingly prominent over the last few years as new AI technology advances.

On Thursday, March 21, WHUT-TV released the trailer of "The Golden Year: Howard Women’s Basketball.”  The documentary discovers the legacy and history of Howard University’s Women’s Basketball Team. The documentary is set to premiere on Wednesday, March 27, at 9 p.m. EST, and viewers can watch the premiere on demand. Featuring past and current players and coaches, the documentary celebrates the team's 50-year dynasty.

Amid an ongoing housing crisis, WHUT-TV’s premiere of “Homelessness Reframed,” on Tuesday, Nov. 28 is shifting the narrative surrounding the D.C. homeless population. Host, Morgyn Wood, takes viewers inside Miriam’s Kitchen, a local non-profit combatting homelessness through meals and a variety of programming.

Go-Go City: Displacement & Protest in Washington, DC, a documentary film by Samuel George of the Bertelsmann Foundation, dives into this rich and colorful tapestry and the forces behind the gentrification that stand to mute it. The film interweaves scenes of protest as displaced communities take to the streets to rally around the city’s beloved Go-Go music.
