Sony Electronics has introduced the WH-1000XM4C (M4 2nd-gen) wireless noise-cancelling headphones, has updated its mid- and entry-level wireless headphones with the WH-CH730N and WH-CH53, and launched a special Sony x Hello Kitty collaboration. The WH-1000XM4C wireless noise cancelling headphones, based on the popular WH-1000XM4, offers Sony’s 1000X Series noise cancelling and premium sound performance and comes in a new Lavender colour option.

Apple unveiled a flurry of new products at its annual September event in Cupertino today, including the scene-stealing Apple iPhone Duo, the brand’s first foldable phone, along with new standard iPhones, Apple Watches, AirPods, accessories, and more. Apple is skipping over the base-level iPhone this time, launching right into the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max. This is a good thing since the Pro-level phone has often been the best value, as I noted in my iPhone 17 Pro review.

Apple is never worried about being first to the party: the company always takes its time to get things right. And the hope is that launching a foldable phone years after Android competitors have done so will result in a truly innovative experience for iPhone owners. The iPhone Duo is Apple’s first foldable, and it starts at $3,000 in Canada, so you’ll need to start saving up now or look into financing options. It captures Apple’s focus on form as well as function.

Ecovacs showcased numerous products at its booth at IFA 2026, including the Deebot X12S Omnicyclone robot vacuum and mop, which not only removes dust mite allergens, but also has a privacy shield to cover the camera when it’s not in use. The new flagship robot vacuum is SGS-certified to remove 97.44% of dust mite allergens, which can live in soft materials like the carpet underfoot. It has a sealed dust-mite carpet chamber that pushes down into the pile rather than riding along the top.

TP-Link showcased its complete Wi-Fi 8 product line-up at IFA 2026, which took place last week in Berlin. The line is led by the Archer 8 Ultra router and Deco 8 Ultra mesh system.

At IFA 2026 in Berlin, Jackery showcased its new HomePower 1000 Plus V2, an 1800W power station for powering up household appliances, outdoor power tools, laptops, lighting, and more, both at home in case of emergency and on the go, like at a campsite. Starting from a 1024-Wh base capacity, its modular architecture supports a maximum capacity of up to 11 kWh using Jackery’s 2 kWh expansion batteries, so it can work in larger commercial venues as well.

Kanto Audio today introduced Tuk Grand and the second-generation Tuk, two powered speakers built around upgraded drivers, redesigned cabinets, and flexible wired and wireless connectivity. Both models use an Air Motion Transformer (AMT) tweeter with an aluminum concave woofer, paired with Class-D amplification and custom DSP tuning. The redesigned AMT is engineered for smoother high-frequency response and improved detail.

Spending just one day at IFA 2026, I barely scratched the surface of what was being shown. The event that some like to refer to as the “European CES” is massive, both in footprint at the Messe Berlin convention centre and in attendance since it’s open to the public for the afternoon hours. While there from open to chose on Day One, however, I did manage to find lots of memorable gadgets.
