NASHVILLE SOCCER CLUB ACQUIRES GERMAN BUNDESLIGA ATTACKER ELIAS SAAD Nashville SC has acquired attacker Elias Saad on loan from FC Augsburg of the German Bundesliga through the 2027 MLS Sprint Season, the club announced July 16, 2026. The move is pending receipt of his International Transfer Certificate (ITC) and P-1 Visa. Saad will occupy an international roster spot.

Mr. Carl L. Poston age 82 passed away on Wednesday, July 15, 2026 in Nashville, TN. He is survived by his devoted wife, Rayshell Poston. Daughters- Cheryl Eden, Carla Fontenot, Cheree Lester. Son- Rayshaun Lester. Granddaughter- Chrystina Robinson. Grandsons -Carl Robinson. and Paxton Marshall. Many other relatives & friends. Tennessee shoppers will once again be able to save on back-to-school purchases during the state’s annual sales tax holiday, which runs from Friday, July 31, through Sunday, Aug. 2. Click for More News The tax-free weekend begins at 12:01 a.m. on July 31 and ends at 11:59 p.m. on Aug. 2, allowing shoppers to purchase qualifying items without paying state or local sales tax. During the holiday, clothing and school supplies priced at $100 or less qualify for the exemption.

Theft-related crimes continue to fall in Mt. Juliet, with city leaders reporting significant declines across several categories during the first half of 2026. According to the Mt. Juliet Police Department, overall theft offenses dropped from 206 reported cases in the first half of 2024 to 109 during the same period in 2026, a decrease of 47 percent.
